Istanbul University (IU for short) is a state university whose main campus is located in the Fatih district of Istanbul.

Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration was accredited in 2012 by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the most important organization that accredits business schools all over the world. Thus, Istanbul University Faculty of Business, the first and the only AACSB accreditation field between state universities in Turkey has become a business school.

Approximately 73,000 graduate, undergraduate and associate degree students study at the university. This higher education process is carried out by 12,000 faculty members and lecturers.
